Westlands Country Park is located only 30 minutes from Farlam Hall, set amidst 100 acres of stunning Dumfries and Galloway countryside, offering clay pigeon shooting instruction for novices through to experienced game and clay shooters, both at their shooting ground and field. 

The shooting ground comprises of up to 100 Promatic super sporter traps and 20 different stands, throwing a large selection of targets. Their Layouts include Scotland’s highest high tower with four simulation traps, down the line (DTL), Skeet layout, Compak, driven flush and a Rabbit pair.

Westlands Country Park sells a wide variety of cartridges inc. 12 bore, 16 bore, 28 bore, 4.10 and even 9mm.

Iain Furness Sporting can provide individual lessons or develop a personal programme that is tailored to your needs.  Their coaching techniques and methods will be planned to suit your individual requirements, giving you that all important consistency in the field or at the clay ground.

With extensive experience of coaching in the field at many of the major shoots in Southern Scotland and Northern England, they provide one-to-one game coaching, specialising in high bird shooting and can also provide training to individuals or groups of loaders in preparation for the game season.
