Unfortunately, there is not a dedicated business lounge at Farlam Hall, but private areas can be arranged in advance with prior notification.

Breakfast is served a la carte from 8am–10am every day.

We have two restaurants available at Farlam Hall.  On a Sunday, Monday & Tuesday between 6pm – 8:15pm, evening guests can dine at Bistro Enkel, and on a Wednesday – Saturday evening guests can dine at our Michelin-starred Cedar Tree by Hrishikesh Desai, open 6pm – 8.15pm. We also serve Sunday Lunch each week and Afternoon Tea every Thursday.

At Farlam Hall, we have 2 dog friendly rooms and charge £30 per dog per night, although dogs are not allowed in public areas. Please see the Pet Policy on our website for full information.

We have complimentary car parking on site, with parking also available outside each of the Stable Suites.

We always encourage a slower pace when staying with us at Farlam Hall, but there are a wide range of activities within our local area, as well as our onsite Sycamore Retreat, providing residents a serene environment to unwind with a choice of GAIA Skincare treatments.

Our Housekeeping team will service your room each day of your stay and we also provide a turndown service which is completed early evening. We provide a laundry service for guests which is charged at £10 per bag for a maximum of 6 items. This does not include dry cleaning. We will endeavour to have your laundry returned to you within 24 hours of receipt. For your convenience, a laundry bag and further information can be found in your wardrobe. Please contact reception to arrange any laundry services.

Dress code in Bistro Enkel and Cedar Tree Restaurant is smart casual. Unfortunately, we cannot accept guests wearing short trousers, flip flops/sliders, etc.

All rooms are equipped with tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, bathrobes & slippers, and Molton Brown bath products. Our Junior Suites and the larger Stable Suites also have Dyson hairdryers and Nespresso coffee machines.

No, there is not a kids’ club available at Farlam Hall.

A deposit of £150 is taken at the time of booking your stay at Farlam Hall. This is non-refundable but transferable once to a new date up until 7 days prior to arrival. The remaining balance is charged 7 days prior to arrival and a penalty of the full stay will be charged for late cancellation/modification, no-show or early departure.

Just a short drive from Farlam Hall is Hadrian’s Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, inviting you to walk in the footsteps of ancient soldiers and imagine the vast history it has witnessed. Carlisle is located just 25 minutes' drive away, with the magnificent Cathedral standing proudly in the heart of the city, along with Carlisle Castle, a fortress with a storied past spanning over nine centuries. Also located close to the city centre you will find Tullie House Museum, offering a captivating journey through history, art and natural sciences.

Carlisle Airport is the closest and is located approximately 15 minutes (7.7 miles) by car westbound on the A69 from Farlam Hall, and caters to private flights. Newcastle International Airport is located approximately 50 minutes (45 miles) away by car eastbound on the A69 and is a commercial airport.

Brampton train station is 6 minutes (1.9 miles) by car and Carlisle train station is 25 minutes (12 miles) by car away from Farlam Hall.

Check-in at Farlam Hall is from 3pm and check-out is before 11am but earlier check-ins and later check-outs can be requested in advance.

Farlam Hall is licenced for civil ceremonies, so you can exchange your vows with someone special, somewhere special. In order to hold your civil ceremony or partnership at Farlam Hall, you must also book your wedding reception with us.  We can cater for an intimate “You and Me” wedding reception for the Bride & Groom plus 6 guests. Our stunning grounds offer the most magical surroundings for your wedding photographs as well as the delights of a wedding breakfast created especially for you by our award-winning chefs.   

We can cater for larger number using an outdoor structure i.e. a marquee or teepee, so speak to a member of the team for further information.

While we do not have any dedicated meeting rooms on site, we do have flexible options depending on your exact requirements and can accommodate both day and overnight events.

We are surrounded by the countryside and are happy to recommend lots of local walks for exercise. We can also provide yoga mats with lots of outdoor space available.

We have a treatment room known as The Sycamore Retreat, allowing residents a serene environment to unwind, promoting mindfulness, relaxation and rejuvenation with holistic skincare treatments. Now open for both non-residents and resident bookings, the retreat features a variety of GAIA Skincare treatments, including the Hot Stone Massage and Jade Facial.
