Christmas Eve

Arrive on Christmas Eve to roaring log fires and an Afternoon Tea served with a Festive Cocktail in our beautifully decorated lounges, where you can take the opportunity to embrace the classic simplicity and understated elegance of your home for the Christmas festivities!  A bottle of chilled Champagne awaits you in your room to be enjoyed at your leisure.

Enjoy Champagne and Canapes in the lounge prior to a 3 course à la carte dinner in Bistro Enkel, followed by mulled wine and mince pies along with carol singing and traditional readings by the fire.

Christmas Day

Prepare for the most wonderful day of the year with Christmas Day breakfast served in the Cedar Tree Restaurant.  High ceilings and full height windows offer a stunning view over the estate's lake and gardens, made even more beautiful with a dusting of snow if we are lucky! 

Spend the morning celebrating with your loved ones before a Champagne Reception is served prior to lunch, which is a lavish 5 Course Tasting Menu served with your choice of pre-ordered wines.  After lunch, the rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy how you wish; cosy up in front of the log fires, take an invigorating walk in the grounds or explore the stunning local countryside, the choice is yours.  Dinner this evening will be a relaxed affair with an informal buffet served in the restaurant.

Boxing Day

Boxing Day starts with breakfast in the Cedar Tree Restaurant and an organised walk to one of our local beauty spots or, if you prefer to explore further afield, we would recommend a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Hadrian's Wall, or immerse yourself in the outstanding beauty of the North Pennines National Landscape, both only a short drive away.  A light lunch will be served in the afternoon and we invite you to join us for a Champagne Reception prior to an indulgent 7 Course Tasting Menu served in the Cedar Tree Restaurant.  This evening will be hosted by Hrishikesh who will share stories of the inspiration behind each dish, celebrating both the artistry and the origins of the ingredients.

Saturday 27th December

Enjoy a hearty breakfast, with cooked or continental options available, served in the Cedar Tree Restaurant, before we wish you a fond farewell with memories to treasure forever! 

Payment Terms:

Please note that we will require a non-refundable deposit of £200 per room to secure your booking, with a further payment which is equal to 40% of the remaining balance due 90 days beforehand (this payment is refundable if you cancel your booking more than 60 days prior to arrival).  The remaining balance is due 30 days beforehand and will only be refunded if we manage to re-sell your room for the same value.
